Getting Started Guide

Follow these steps to start creating curriculum-aligned teaching materials with AI.

Takes about 5 minutes

1. Add Your API Key

Go to Settings and enter your OpenAI API key. You can get one for free at platform.openai.com. Alternatively, use Anthropic or AWS Bedrock.

2. Create a Lesson Plan

Type what you want to teach (e.g. 'Grade 4 Mathematics Fractions') and AI generates a complete 40-minute lesson plan with objectives, activities, assessment, and differentiation.

3. Differentiate Content

Open any lesson plan and use the Leveled Text tab. Lessoncraft creates three versions for emerging, developing, and proficient readers. Perfect for multi-level classrooms.

4. Create a Quiz

Open any lesson plan and use the Quiz tab to generate assessments with multiple-choice and short-answer questions at different difficulty levels.

5. Your Plan Library

All generated plans are saved offline in your browser. Browse, edit, and manage them from the home page. Works without internet!

6. Download as PDF

Download formatted lesson plans as PDF documents for printing. The PDF includes UNICEF branding and is optimized for A4 paper.

7. Share with Colleagues

Share lesson plans via URL links that other teachers can open directly. No account needed. Great for WhatsApp teacher groups.

8. Use via Telegram

Access the same tools via Telegram bot commands: /lessonplan, /quiz, /differentiate. Works on any phone. Kiswahili aliases available: /mpango, /mtihani, /tofautisha.
